Protecting the environment and ensuring sustainability of our trees and woodlands is a vital part of what we do. Whether we are taking down a mature tree or trimming a garden hedge, everything is re-used or recycled.
When we remove a whole tree, large sections of trunk are forwarded from the site and sawn for timber destined for many different uses, depending on the species of tree.
Larger branches and small sections of trunk are cut into logs, seasoned for a year or more in the company’s yard in Surrey. These are sold as domestic firewood via our subsidiary company, Bestlogs4U which supplies logs and kindling, delivered free to customers within a 5 mile radius of Esher. Small branches and green waste are fed into our powerful wood chippers to produce chippings for use in a variety of applications, including moisture retention and weed control in domestic and public gardens.
